In her work Sonja Sebes uses mainly porcelain or porcelain based clays. Her very thin work is often only partially glazed. This creates a playfull reflection of light on and trough the surface of her objects. It makes her work also very tactile.
The texture of wood she often uses gives her work a natural appearance. With only small additions she brings in nuances that adds to the form, strengthened by a subtle use of color. The modest floral decorations are self-designed and applied with coloured porcelain slib. All the objects are dishwasher proof.
